The Ui2 bike looks great to me. Might be in line for one of these!

Would be interested to see the max tire sizes.
Have a UI2 defy from last year and can get 30-32mm tires in with clearance. I think looking at the geometry 28mm will be the max.

Oooh new valveless tires!

Would be cool without discs or thru axles - oh wait...

Had to help a friend change a flat on his 2-week old Giant Propel Advanced with Giants carbon tubeless wheels this past weekend. What a pain as he was running tubes and I did not realize the rims where tubeless until after wasting a CO2 cartridge only to find the bead was not correctly seated resulting in a pronounced hop. Had to deflate, re-seat the tire beads, then once again inflate. The second time around I made sure I got a solid 'pop' as the beads seated, but had to smile as apparently I was the only one who had experience with tubeless since everyone else gasped and took a few steps back when the tire 'popped'!

I read somewhere that they would be releasing a new Defy, TCR or Roubaix style geo with the added comfort of the Defy. I think that could be the bike they do really well from.
Good Geo, big tyre clearance and a lively but comfortable all day bike

Along with the TCR Disc they launched the Contend yesterday, perhaps that was what you read about? https://www.giant-bicycles.com/news/art ... kes/20172/

According to this article, max tyre clearance of 28mm. That's a damn shame
