You can calibrate your "feel"- tighten something non critical by hand and then check the torque. Make sure to position your hand the same distance from the fastener so you have the same leverage each time.
I did this exercise for various size fasteners a while back and found that I'm reasonably accurate for smaller torque values and tools and too light on bigger stuff. Not surprising given my spindly climber's arms. I once bought a vintage Maico motorcycle from a 6'5 guy and every single fastener was tightened to just less than stripping the threads.
