for an aero frame that's pretty respectable.

Those are Italian grams.

Actually the most accurate weights in the industry come from an italian company (Campagnolo that is).

Even though I am tempted by the lighter F8, I would not take the 150g to 200g savings if they were coming at the expense of the bike general handling or feel which I find awesome.

the new frame has extremely thin tubes. can be squeezed like a aluminum tin car

this video was posted 2 weeks ago. froome will be using one in the tour. shave weight on the frame and use aero wheels in the mountains. good exchange. everyone knows aero trumps weight

I enjoyed reading the paper. Thanks for sharing.

My biggest disappointment? No direct-mounted brakes. How did Pinarello miss this one?

Because Italian, therefore because Campagnolo. Regardless of performance it would have been crazy for Pina to release a frame that couldn't use Campagnolo parts.

That was my guess. Colnago had to put Tektro on their Campag direct brake mount bike. Reactions were predictable (ignoring the fact that Campagnolo sells some rebadged Tektros)

Pretty broad statement. I'd contend then that the most precise, and accurate, weights in the industry come from Schmolke, Extralite, and, you know actual weight-oriented manufacturers... in the cycling industry.

Extralite is Italian.

I was just (half) kidding about Italian grams. For most parts, the manufacturing variance is greater than the 1g precision most weights are given in. The problem of course is the manufacturers that like to list extremely optimistic weights consistently and across the board.

The Dogma F8 XLight is 780 grams but has a rider weight limit of 154 pounds. Only 200 frames available worldwide.
