I ran across a set of the vumaquads Zipp made for Cannondale. I contacted Zipp regarding them and was told this setup was build before bb30 was bb30 and they believed the set was for external BB cups. They did not have any of the specs on hand as it was discontinued. I know they had a BB30 conversion/adapter kit for the standard Vumaquad but unsure if the "for Cannonadale/SL" model was any different aside of graphics?
Are any of you familiar with these?
I'd love to use these on my Look 595 if possible....

Vumaquads used what's sometimes called BSA30- 30mm ID BB30 bearings in BSA cups. That's wider than real BB30 or BB30A. So the Vumaquad should fit those frames, but you will need spacers to make the chain line right. Lighting's crank has the same long 30mm spindle and in fact can use Vumaquad BB cups in BSA frames.
BUT those cranks say "for Cannondale" and have a BB30 logo on them. If they are a true BB30 version that I did not know about, they would not fit BB30A. I'd get a measurement of the spindle length before buying. Also make sure you can get chainrings.
