I own a set of these Edco Competition hubs:
Unfortunately I could not find much information about this hubset. Can someone help me?
What I know so far:
- launch in the 90s http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Switzerland/edco/catalog_90s.htm
- 8-speed Hyperglide body
- spokeholes: 18 front, 24 rear. Really special, as the sticker does not provide this possibility. Maybe I did not get the hubs in their original packaging. Or there were no extra stickers produced, because of a small production volume? I don't know...
- I assume that these hubs must have been built with deep rims because of their low spoke count. The following picture confirms that: red is the colour of TT-componentes.
This is all I konw so far. I would like to learn more about
- the wheels, where these hubs were built-in (brand, size 26" or 28", both?)
- Were there pro teams using these hubs? (Pictures?)
- Is this set a collector's item?
