I've got a new ti frame on the way with a 73deg 44mm head tube and am currently weighing up fork options. These are:

- Enve 2.0 road
- New Moots tapered http://moots.myshopify.com/collections/ ... -road-fork
- Columbus FEL

The columbus is obviously _much_ cheaper than the other 2 and budget does matter (want shiny wheels).
I've narrowed down to these options because most others don't take a 28mm tyre (which I want).

Does anyone have any experience with the FEL? Other than the bling logos (and I may paint the fork anyway) is the Enve or Moots really worth it? Moots is nice because apparently takes up to 30mm tyre, but its £££...

Does it take a 28mm tyre though? Have to say I'm also prefer the straight blade type, but not fixed on it...

I would look at these also

http://www.columbustubi.com/eng/4_2_1.htm

https://www.3tcycling.com/road/en/bike- ... m-stealth/

I must say, the 3T Team is actually an excellent fork!
I would probably go for this as i have it and i like it very much. So much i did not go for the LTD version.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Thanks for that. I did look at the 3T but when I contacted them they said clearance was for 23mm tyre max. Grammy is also on the longer list... if it was straight blade would already have bought it based on reviews I've seen. Damn aesthetics!

Aha, sorry i did not know 3T told you that.

I would probably get a fork that handles wider tires. I just rode Schwalbe S-One and these are 30mm.
These are really great tires!
I think a modern fork should handle that.
Looking at the later lines of wheelsets, it is obvious we now are talking aero widths of 28mm (or more in case of Easton Aero 55).
So for sure the forks would be best suited to handle 30mm tires.
Honestly, i have also cared for aesthetics, but i must say that in the long run i would clearly go for the clearance.

With 30mm you're running into problems with brake clearance.

It's hard enough to find a good fork with confirmed clearance for 28mm already. Ritchey make a nice one, but not in tapered.

True on the brake clearances... perhaps no point paying extra for moots then. Am leaning towards either Grammy or the FEL. Doesn't seem to be much out there about the FEL, but almost as light and straight blades so... Triton cycles also helpfully sent me a pic with a 25mm tyre in the FEL and looks like plenty of clearance for a 28:
