Gold chain, yay or nay?

With deeper sectioned blacked out wheels, can it pull off a gold chain?

Yep, gold chain will be boss.

Your bike does not have any other gold accent parts. Like tape, saddle, bolts, valve caps. So gold chain will not look good. And the red pin striping on the bike does not look very good either. Too flat, matte.

yeah black is a much safer bet here for sure. I'll post a picture Monday or Tuesday if both chain and wheels have arrived and see. :x

I have a black kmc chain which will go on my bike soon (matches the bike) so please know of my bias[emoji6]

YBN chain is lighter, the KMC chain is less expensive.

Duh?
Don't lay the focus on me.
I never should ask like a woman to others wich color chain to lay on my bike.
I simply make my own decision. That is what adult balanced people should do.
I think you miss just some personallity to make your own choices in this, and I tried to bring that under normal words but you didn't understand.

Again where are we talking about? The color of a chain.
Really this forum is degrading by the day.

Look to the development of this topic. It's exactly how I described. A part of the members is for a gold chain and another part is against. It doesn't help you at all to make a decision. It's a very unintelligent discussion. The only good advice should be that you need to make your own decision. Time to grow up.

Done. I love it. Feel free to get the knives out! Thanks for the opinions, they really did help me decide.

I use the KMC X11SL Gold Chain.

Slightly noisier than the duraace equivalent (stay on top of keeping it greased).

No noticeable degradation in quality.

Im glad the additional noise isn't just in my head... I thought it was out of adjustment to begin with, adjusted everything on the stand to eye and lived with the sound.

I used the X11SL too, it seems to have some sort of waxy coating. How long does that last and when should I start lubing it? I use Pedro's lube usually (like the green credentials), but it turned black on my old Ultegra chain really quickly. Ordered some Rock n Roll gold stuff in.

Only on bling bikes, I used one here because it helped the bike pop.
My road bikes are all black as to not go out of style.
