Hello,

I recently had to change the pallet of my sram red 10 spd lever and took the lever apart. Simple enough, but when I set the lever back up the lever changes up but is very sluggish to change down and sometimes needs to be 'helped' by pushing it in the other direction. I have stripped it down again and the only thing I can think of is the red cable drum and the spring. Does the spring need to be put back loose or does it need to be pre-loaded by turning the spring around 360 before putting in?

I have also tried new cables (teflon coated) but no joy... Any ideas weenies?

Ok, found the problem. The spring needs to be pre-loaded. Fixed.
