Does anyone know what will be the changes on the new model? I started seeing clearance sale on them. Thanks.

I would think they are going wider too on the 3.4?

Where are you seeing the discounts? Here in the U.S. they are still about $2800-$2900 a set.

UPDATE: I just found one going for $2000 for the 3.4. The 4.5 is still at the full price. You usually don't see these go on sale. I've been dreaming on a set for a long time...

That front rim is already one of the widest out there is it not? Do they really need to go wider?

There have been some pretty great deals to be had over the past couple months on the discontinued SES and classic models.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a pair of current 3.4. With so many sunny days here in Southern California, I don't ride in the rain at all. Which means the new braking surface is nice to have, but not when I can save $1,000. The only thing that keeps me from pulling the trigger is I always want a pair of carbon road wheels with CK hubs but so far all the on-sale Enve 3.4 are built with DT240. I know D240 are great hubs but I like the bling of CK. I've been riding on the same CK rear hub on my mtb for over 10 years and it works better than new. The hub needs fresh lube on the ring drive every couple years but other than that it just keeps going and going.

I really want the 4.5's. If the 4.5's go down to $2,000 then I might pull the trigger.

Good question I only based my assumption on the fact that new SES 5.6 and 7.8 dics had gotten wider and also tubeless compatible I would think the 3.4 would get wider too and tubeless compatible.

enve started shipping the new brake track on the 3.4s earlier this year. I got a new brake track on my front for crash replacement in late February. Are they putting these on clearance and making more changes or is the previous version with the smooth track on clearance?
