SRAM inner chainring, text direction?

I have a SRAM Red Black 2010 groupset, 5x110 BCD (non-hidden bolt).

I'm used to mounting the rings with the text facing outwards.

Is my assumption correct that the original 34T should be mounted with the text facing inwards?

Most rings will have a counterbore where the chainring bolt head goes. Make sure that is facing away from the spider.
