Fouriers CNC Derailleur Cage
Moderator: robbosmans
Yup you're right. Was just in Taiwan and the 18t was mentioned too. But apparently whether it can be used depends on whether your derailleur hanger allows for it.
Anyway, I got to see their weight and the carbon one saves 8g over the alloy one, for about $65usd more.

There are 5 holes to install the tensioner spring. I picked the one that gives the least amount of force. I didnt notice any issues shifting under load.

Was it easy to install? Can you walk me through how you did it?

Fouriers channel on you tube was very helpful.

So, Fourier on RD-7900, any conclusive opinions? Are 10 and 11 speed Shimano cages interchangeable? I know most modern Shimano cages are fairly interchangeable even between road and mountain bike, but would love to be certain before splurging the cash

It works. Will help if you ever intend to slap on a climbing cassette. You wouldn't feel the wattage difference but science says it's there so that's that. Most important is, it looks cool.
Do you mind commenting on the noise or quietness of these pulleys? Always thought aluminum would give off more noise than delan or nylon.
I don't think it adds any noticeable noise compared to normal pulley wheels. Oem pulley wheels aren't made of delrin anyway.

I just sold the bike, but it worked all the way till it left me. Can't see how these might be damaged; worn pulleys can just be replaced.
