Made a mistake on top of the hill, forgot to unclip on low gear (still trying to get used to 28 in the back), you can already imagine what happened. Now the SRAM 22 brake lever and RD casing is has scratches on them.

Is the brake lever composite? It looks like it. I wonder if I need to apply clear (or pink) nail polish on it (treat it like CF frame)? Do the same for the RD?

Thanks

If the scratches are not too deep you can sand & polish them out, clear laquer is also good.

I've used clear nail polish on scratched components to good effect, but the scratches were very light. Sanding and polishing helps, of course.

I used clear for paint. You can pick up a small bottle at any auto parts or hobby store.
