I really would love to have a LOW. Great lines and rider-owned.

Not ridden one but Engineered Cycles look like they would be worth a mention.

If you have good roads, I recommend a kinesis aithein with a carbon seat post.

I've been riding a Bowman Palace lately and I'm very pleased with it. I've also had a chance to test ride a Merckx Blockhaus67 for a dozen km, a solid, competent frame.

True that - they design awesome bikes! The donder is a machine, admittdly abit stiff and racy in standard geo, but custom is no upcharge.

As a former owner of a Spooky Skeletor I had to smile at this
Spooky frames were known for their legendary build and ride qualities
since that was only true if by "legendary" one means brutally harsh riding coupled with poor build quality.

I only bought the thing because of mentions here on WW and there's a thread on my build somewhere.

After a chaotic buying experience, frame arrived slung into a box with zero packing. BB threads useless as a completely worn out die appeared to have been used.

After a few rides I realized I was getting too beaten up by the frame, stripped it and sold off with no regrets.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

While I have no problem with aluminum as a material with which to build a frame (I'm currently riding a CAAD10), the prices of some of these are a bit high, IMHO. Aside from the benefit of custom geometry, would the ride quality be much better on any of these compared to a stock Cannondale or Specialized? Frankly, while I think the handling on my CAAD is absolutely perfect, it is a bit of a slug when it comes time to stomp on the pedals. It lacks all of the snap my carbon frames have. I'm curious to know if these would be better (Low, Gaulzetti, Rock Lobster, etc.).

I can't say I've ever noticed a difference compared to carbon bikes in terms of stiffness/reactiveness. I'd actually argue that my Selene has a better 'snap' to it than most carbon frames I've ridden (Haven't ridden many post 2014 carbon frames though). It feels really nice on super steep gradients because you can 'feel' the pedal stroke going into forward motion. Not sure how much more 'snap' there is on post 2014 carbon frames though. What carbon frames are you comparing to @boysa?
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it :)

Disclosure: I'm sponsored by Velocite, but I do give my honest opinion about them (I'm endorsed to race their bikes, not say nice things about them)

Cervelo SLC-SL*, Look 595, Crumpton SL.

(*edit: TBH, it's been so long since I was on the Cervelo, I can't compare.)

It is interesting, because while a lot of people talk about aluminum beating them up, I have no problem putting serious mileage on my CAAD 10. Not to mention, I have a Thomson post and stem on there. But it definitely lacks the get-up-and-go of the Look and the Crumpton. If some of these smaller brands would give me back that snap, I'd gladly pick one up.
