I have gotten to the point where I am seriously jonesing for a power meter and so I need to update my bicycle's instrumentation. It currently has a Sigma ROX 9.1. While I have been very happy with its performance, it cannot connect to a power meter since it does not have ANT+. Instead, it uses a proprietary wireless standard which is why I have to change out everything.
My first thought was to simply update to a ROX 10.0 because Sigma would surely make it compatible with their own older-generation sensors, right? No such luck. It is a pure ANT+ device.
Thus, should I just go with the sensors that come with whichever ANT+ capable computer I eventually choose to go with? Are there better (i.e. more reliable/lighter) combinations of mixed brands to be had? I am assuming ANT+ devices should connect pretty seamlessly between brands? Am I wrong? I have no experience with ANT+ devices so please educate me.
Seeking advice on which ANT+ sensor suite to get
