Fishnet sleeveless base layer does wonders. Craft is my favorite one, it soaks sweat and keeps my jersey dry. Best part - no athletic stink. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/craft ... F0MTAwMzE0

I've always used Craft base layers for under 65 degrees. I'll try one of these.

Do you find their effectiveness is greatly diminished in high humidity climates? I normally see humidity levels north of 80% and usually north of 90% for a good part of the summer. Base layers, of any kind, are stifling in those conditions. At those levels it is all about getting direct airflow over the skin, so it's a jersey only invariably with the zipper wide open.

I rate Poc Climber's Jersey highly. Did two HC climbs last summer, did not soak with sweat.
Ditto on the fishnet baselayer.

I wear fishnet Craft base layer all year long, whether it's freezing temperature or scorching heat. It's very effective. My jersey is pretty dry except for neck area, which is obvious. It's like new after years of usage, no athletic stink.

The sole purpose of a sleeveless fishnet base layer is to keep your jersey dry so it doesn't stick to your wet skin.

I use Champ Sys air light jerseys while climbing, they make a huge difference going from the thicker material. I have never been sunburned through the jersey either.
