Anyone using/used hydraulic rim brakes?

Force and Red hydraulic rim has been around as long as their disc offering.
the new hydraulic Rotor group comes with a rim option.
Perhaps the new Dura Ace will come with hydraulic rim option.
My perception is that hydraulic rim has never taken off, but perhaps the recent disc developments will change that.

I had Edco shifters w/Magura rim brakes in the mid 90's. They worked, but it wasn't a dramatic improvement on Campagnolo Records. Even the last version of Deltas was more or less on par.
They still brake on the rim, and I don't think in rim brakes the cables are the limiting factor.

I will be able to tell you in about 2 months. Have something custom coming with SRAM Red hydraulic brakes. I'm hoping they help with some of the wrist numbness that happens when I go down long, steep descents and long rides.
I do have a friend that's on SRAM Apex hydraulic rim brakes (same brakes, but cheaper levers. Identical to the Cavendish setup back in 2014). All I can say is that he has a dramatically easier time on VERY steep gradients (-12%+++).

If they banned disc brakes in the peloton, maybe they will try to boost a move towards hydraulic rim brakes!?
