Any recommendations for pro compact chainrings that are in the 130g or less range? SRAM's big ring is a pig, so that's a no go. I'm having trouble finding combos that are not 52/36. I've been fine on a 34/23 combo, so now that I'm on 11 speed with a 26 in the back, I'd rather have a bigger little ring. Fibre-Lyte's seem to have trouble with 11 speed and going from big to small, every once in a awhile it will drop between rings. Replacing the little ring with a regular chainring has fixed that (right now I'm running a Rotor 34 and shifting is flawless), but I think I'm finally going back to regular chainrings as long as the penalty won't be more than 50g.

Other option would be to go with Extralite's 53/39 110 BCD chainring. I think I've seen them get favorable reviews. Suggestions? I like Rotor's NOQ rings but I'm having trouble sourcing those in the US.

My Paxis rings are

- 52 - 118 g
- 50 - 98 g
- 36 - 33 g
- 34 - 29 g

I will be using the 52 / 34 at 147 g

I went with Paxis as they are said to be one of the best

Ya, except Praxis doesn't make a 38t.

Having used Fibre-lites recently I have had issues with drop between the rings and a bit of catching, but for me it has settled within 50 miles. You do have to be careful with shifting, but with SR it has been no real bother. My 50/34 are 77g total. Expensive yes, but as my build is 5.7kg they helped me get to that. Plus Stephen is great to deal with, which makes it even better.

Ya, 99% of the time they have been fine, but having had to big ring a 50 mile race with 6k of climbing because of two bad shifts and loss of confidence, at 5.1kg, I can take the 50g penalty.

Specialités TA makes some light, reliable rings. I'ven been using them for years, without any issue. And you can use any combo you want.
Some verified weights here:

Thanks, I haven't seen the all black version from them before, but that looks like exactly what I'm looking for.

BOR make reasonably light rings. I keep on hoping that someone will try them and give us a review.
According to BOR, the 52T is 92g and the 38T is 39g.

Praxis shift better than NoQ's if that's a primary consideration, which it appears not to be 8)

Why not go for a 39 instead of a 38 - minimal difference in gearing and opens up the number of possibilities significantly - Praxis 39 ??

Great suggestion from Delorre. Have you looked at Spécialites TA Hegoa rings?

I got them back in 2001 and they last till boredom. If memory serves me right, they weighed about 116g for 130BCD 52/39T but I forgot whether that included chainring bolts or not. Shifting is good but probably not as fast as Praxis rings.

The current 10/11spd version certainly improved in terms of looks, and expect a 52/38T combo to be lighter than my old ones. They're also quite affordable. I think they're highly underrated.

@svetty, cause my SRM is 110bcd.

I really like the look of the TA Hegoa rings. Looks like I'll be ordering those, unless someone wants to vouch for the Extralite Octaramp rings?

I was hoping someone would have some info on the Extralite Octaramp rings as well. Some reviews Ive seen said the shifting was pretty bad and other have said its improved but didn't really explain further.

Also is the Hegoa available in 110? Their site didn't list it when I filtered for 100 rings.

If you run 110BCD, you should get the Spécialités TA Syrius rings. They are basically the 110BCD version of the 130BCD Hegoa rings just like the 135BCD Horus and 110BCD Nérius rings are respectively the standard and compact versions for Campy.

Hegoa rings are lighter due to less material to bridge from the teeth to the bolt circle. As for weight, I hope that when going for Syrius rings the extra 1.7g is livable with...

86.4g Spécialités TA Syrius 110BCD x 52T + 45.2g Spécialités TA Syrius 110BCD x 38T = 131.6g
