I propose a hypothetical dilemma to the WW crowd:

You've comitted a crime, and as punishment, a bicycle weighing 6.8 kilograms will be dropped on you from 3 metres.

As an added twist, you may make one final choice before the administration of your punishment.

You may pick if the bike is equipped with conventional wheel rim caliper brakes, or disc brakes. Which will it be? :-)

:smartass: Disc - And please drop of on its side. The extra surface area of the rotors should result in a slight difference in impact velocity.

EDIT: I'm just playing the game here, I obviously never do anything criminal.

Haha good one! Can I also choose if the electric motor is running or not?

I'd choose the Disc bike, nothing worse than a frayed cable end stabbing you in the finger.

Definitely discs so long as they've not been super heated!!

Disc. Chances are the guy dropping it on me would also cut himself to ribbons! Justice.

I have no idea why I am responding to this thread.

I would choose disc as well. The crosswinds would push the bike aside and miss hitting me and also cut the person in the leg that dropped it.

I agree on the frayed cable. Wrenching my TT-bike yesterday, and boom! Swaying me in the direction of discs! ;-)

That is too late he has already introduced them into the equation.

I would need to know if the dics are Shimano or Sram? I prefer Shimano.
