Any new post out there for a 25.4 caad 12? New seatpost will be my next weight saving purchase.
Deciding between a thomson and a cannondale save. The standard post is 295grams so I would like one that saves 100grams.

Darimo T2 exists in 25.4mm and that’s the lightest option in absolute for the caad12

I’ve been using one of these Hylix posts for the past few months and I have no complaints.

I’ve been through a few 25.4 posts on my Paralane

BBB Flypost: came stock on my bike. No real complaints except it was a tad heavy at 212g

Cannondale Save: mine had a small gap between the cradle and the actual post. I wasn’t comfortable using it with that gap.

Hylix in-line: this was really light (under 100g after cutting) but it was a compromise for my fit.

I had a Hylix on my Evo. It cracked. I got myself a Darimo. It's awesome. No setback on any of those though, but I'd at least stay clear of Hylix.

Not looking to go for a hylix. It's between the thomson and the save one. Price wise about the same ish. As long as it's sub 200grams I can save 100grams over the standard 295gram one I have on. Is it worth going for the save carbon one for a bit off comfort?

I had a 25.4 Thomson elite which I replaced by the Save seatpost. I can tell the difference very well. The Save seatpost is much more comfortable!

One thing to note is that long enough part of the Cannondale Save post must be above the seatpost collar. According to the instructions in the box "post requires a minimum inserted height of 148 mm or 5 3/4 in above the seat binder, not including the allow head". I suppose this has something to do with the flexing of the upper part of post.
Maybe I am late to the party, but please let me correct this info which is totally incorrect.
According to official SS EVO 2nd gen manual, minimum insertion is 90mm.

Even if it is 90mm below binder (which isn't mentioned anywhere BTW), still 100mm of seatpost inside the frame is enough (clamping height is 11mm AFAIK).
Which is exaclty how I installed my Save seatpost in 2018 SS Evo regular mod frame. Installed dry, no carbon paste no grease on seatpost clamp - no slippage and no creaking whatsovever, and I am heavy at 76kg.
BTW, cut to 240mm with stock clamp weight is 166g. With J&L carbon cradle, alu yokes and Ti bolts weight is 130g.
Cheers,
