Can anyone tell me if my SIS2 spidering chainset (currently fitted to my CAAD10) would fit on a Kinesis Aithein frame (BB86) and if so, what cups / adaptors would I need? Thanks.

Cannondale cranks are true BB30 designed for 68-70mm BB widths.
with the correct spindle 73mm BB30a is supported.

So it's a possibility?...
Any links as to what I'd need to order to make it work?

Can someone explain the difference between BB30A and BB30 cranks then. For the same crank arms, in BB30A, 73mm shell, if only the spindle is changed to 109mm then the Q-factor will be different compared to a 104mm spindle in a BB30, 68mm shell.
That means that for BB30A cranks to have the same Q-factor as BB30 cranks, the NDS crank arm must have a different bend/pitch compared to an original BB30 NDS crankarm. Then if you want to use a BB30A crank in a BB30 frame you add a 5mm NDS spacer.
Is that correct? In which case which Cannondale cranks have the BB30A NDS crank arm and which are conventional BB30? This information isn't listed anywhere on Cannondale's website.

Why oh why are things so complicated these days!!!! Bring back square taper and have done with it! Sealed FAG bottom bracket, job done

The image on page 3 of that file looks remarkably like the one of QRC 2 cranks from the Extralite website.

Haha! Good catch. Funny how such a big company as Cannondale would take graphics from a boutique manufacturer like Extralite.
Fascinating! Seems they're more than aware of some of the esoteric competition. Interestingly that crank uses a 27mm spindle in the 30mm bore bearings.
it's actually possible to come to the conclusion even before realising it makes no sense at all
