I'm thinking of replacing the Elite cages I have with some lightweight carbon ones. Found a decent deal in a pair of Bontrager xxx cages which claim to be 16g each which is nice! My main question is does anyone know if the logos on them will come off with acetone?
And secondly, what's people's experience of these cages? Do they hold bottles firmly etc? My current Elites are a little too tight with Camelbak podium bottles.
Thanks in advance

I bought one of these and lost my bottle the first time I used it.

Yes very light but it didn't grip the bottle very well. It seemed to grip when I first put the bottle in, but became 'baggy' after the ride

Haha. Ok thanks, that's a very split opinion so far then!!
oldnslow2 - do you think the graphics are removable in the same way you would remove them from a stem/seatpost?

I have them. I just spray paint them with matte black.

Typically carbon is clear coated, logo applied, the clear coated to lock the logo in. That's that i have experienced with bars and seatpost i have done. I cant speak for all parts on the market. I use wet dry sandpaper. 1000 to get some cutting done then go up from there when i get closer to logo removal. Use water and sand over the logo till it disappears, immediately stop. Ill then lightly use 2000 and 2500 to get rid of any visible scratches. Then hit it with a couple buffing compounds to polish the clear coat back to desired sheen. I have a porter cable random orbital buffer to speed things up.
