Doesn't change the bends it has to go through, which makes adhering to those optimal lengths even more critical, and is the reason they specify them. But optimal length or not, every bend compromises a mechanical cable's smoothness to some extent.

Not really fair... 9.9 is state of art 2016 / 2017 and the 65.1 was 2013?

By far the 9.9 (owned an F8 and now a 9.9 RSL)
