Hi all, recently purchased some Roval CLX 40's which have been great thus far. Running them with Black Prince pads and breaking is great.

I got caught out in the rain the other day & the rear sidewalls have turned white. I've degreased & cleaned but to no avail so I wondered if this was normal? The sidewalls remained blacker than black on my old Boras!

Anyone else had the same issue?

Ah, sorry, I thought I attached one. Here you go:

The front one looks nothing like that!

I'm using the same wheel set and getting some discoloration. I think it's a problem with the pad

I had the same with my Zipp 202s. They were black then one wet ride with Zipp Platinum brake pads and the brake track looks like that. It doesn't seem to have affected braking at all.

My CLX 64s do this, but a quick wipe with a wet paper towel gets them back to being mostly black.

Specialized says its normal but it's odd that it's only affected one wheel. Plus, it looks bloody awful!

Regarding the degreaser comment; I used Muc Off which states it's ok for carbon.
