Is this normal for Rovals?

Hi all, recently purchased some Roval CLX 40's which have been great thus far. Running them with Black Prince pads and breaking is great.
I got caught out in the rain the other day & the rear sidewalls have turned white. I've degreased & cleaned but to no avail so I wondered if this was normal? The sidewalls remained blacker than black on my old Boras!
Anyone else had the same issue?

Specialized says its normal but it's odd that it's only affected one wheel. Plus, it looks bloody awful!
Regarding the degreaser comment; I used Muc Off which states it's ok for carbon.
