CX = cyclocross, so it probably has a tighter seal?

+1 on the Wheels MFG bottom bracket... Running that & Ultegra crankset on my Evo Himod and it is buttery smooth.

I have the Praxis PF30 GXP adapter and I love it. However I can't help but notice the 156g. weight. The bearings look massive and I believe that's where the extra weight comes from. I wonder if the weight penalty is offset by an increase in drivetrain efficiency. I certainly hope so!

Do you have a video of how it spins with crank on?

I've been using a Chris King PF30 bottom bracket for six years. No issues. Knock on wood.......

nohands: you can call this shop to special order the Hawk Racing BB30 version for you. their price is much lower than what Hawk Racing is selling on their website. On top of that, you can use their 15% off 100 coupon code: 4715TY plus free shipping.

i'm not affiliated with this Dan's Comp or Hawk Racking company.. but because of chatting with nickf, plus youtube vids... i had to take a plunge and ordered 2 x SRAM GXP BB86 for $202 shipped!

i had the PF30 from wheelmfg on my Redline Conquest Team and though it spins smoother than the SRAM or FSA BB.. it's still not buttery smooth like those youtube vids of Hawk Racing BB.

now just have to wait...

good luck with your search.

I found these videos in VCRC's testimonial webpage since there seems to be interest in the spin test.

I've put about 16000 km on a VCRC ceramic BB and it's still the smoothest BB I've ever had. Sounds like there are a lot of good options out there though.
