What do you guys use to intall BB90 bearings? I just removed my crankset and my bearing slipped out with it, so I thought it's time to clean the shell and reinstall them. Any tips for cleaning the BB shell and installing BB90 is welcomed. Thanks.

Most cases they should just press back in by hand. Trek recommends super web grease for installation. If we get one that's tight we use a standard bearing press but it takes little effort.

I used a threaded Park Tools press to put mine in. Easy as installing BB30 bearings!

Cleaning = treat the BB like a dish you want to eat off.

Install = light film of grease, press bearing in smoothly by hand.

If it were a bit tight, I'd use a bolt and large fender-washer (which is how I did mine the first time, before I realized how easy it is to do by hand).

Like this, but I didn't have the rubber bits:

Thank you guys! I will try to clean and reinstall by hand. Any tips on what kind of detergent to use for cleaning the BB shell? It's quite dirty.

Whatever you have. Hand/dish soap. Isopropyl alcohol. Vodka?

Get in there as best you can, but most importantly the bearing seat area. Maybe a few Q-tips in there.
