Hi,
i am using a carbon bar (3t, 180 gram, 400 mm) since 6 years (ca 30000km/18500 miles). always installed with torque wrench, small pressure marks at contact point /stem (probably unavoidable), but generally looks like new (my weight is 62 kg and i am not a sprinter)
is, preventely, changing such a bar for safety reasons advisable/necessary after several years in use?
thanks for short advice, regards
How long using a carbon bar?

Carbon fiber doesn't undergo fatigue in the same way metals do giving them a significantly longer life. However damage can be hidden making the component unsafe.
If the bar hasn't be crashed etc. then replacing it because it's old would be unnecessary.

no crash concerning the bar.
sounds, as if the bar should be good for many further years, thanks for info!
