Tubular for radness and WW, clinchers for practicality and tubeless has no place on a road bike!

Moved to tubulars last summer and I am not coming back to clinchers. That said I would choose clinchers for some specific purposes like really high mileage training (I'm no longer racing), going abroad for some warm riding during the winter (I wouldn't want to have a tubular puncture there or have to change a flat and glue in a hurry before next day of riding), or bad weather riding (doesn't make sense).

Moved to tubular wheels a number of years back and haven't gone back to clinchers, though the new clincher tech is pretty enticing.

Why no option for both? I use clinchers for training, and tubulars for fast/flat training and racing. When I 'm out in the sticks, I want my clinchers..when racing, so what, got a wheel truck and better/deeper wheels for that.

Dumped my racing tubular wheels for clinchers. With new clincher tires and latex tubes, they feel just as fast and smooth as expensive tubulars. I'll lose a couple extra pounds to make up the increase in wheel weight ;)

clincher on front, tubular on rear wheel :)
I ride both about the same, clincher more in winter and tubs in summer.

I prefer tubulars. Ride them 90% of the time outside, from april to october.

I was trying to find a recent tubular tires Crr test to find the lowest resistance rolling tubular but without much sucess...

Clinchers: Last time I rode tubulars I had 4 flats in one day. Not the tubulars' fault, but just too expensive to keep that sort of thing up. :)

of course that was back before liquid sealants, but I am set in my ways now.
