So, after digging into the Tour test, I decided I wanted to put together a resource for those of us who care about these things. It will cover everything from aero savings for gear, rolling resistance tests, tire/wheel combos and drive chain efficiency.

Right now, I need help aggregating information. The attached is what the format is. I'll probably put it into a Google Doc so it can stay formatted properly.

The goal is to normalize the data and take something like Specialized's claim for their skinsuit of 96s faster and put that into something useable/comparable, which is what the normalized column is for.

at 1 point you're right : you will collect claims, not data. Data...Real Data : this thing you'll never see. Ever.

Yes I did.

Did you see on his website ANY data coming not from manufacturers or financially dependant from cycling business 3rd partie ? :welcome:

It's not I negate ALL, just have natural skepticism to "claims". If, one day - however I know it's not gonna happened, ever - I will see livestream from tunnel with constant view on monitors registering data... then I will call it "reliable". Until then, I call it "claims" ;) .

Ask f.e. GCN or any other cycling media to take few aero frames for independent test, where results won't be consulted with manufacturers, protocol will be realised AFTER test, together with results, and reuslts published without any touch of dirty finger of manufacturer :) . They won't do it. Because like EVERY cycling media, that way or another , they are dependant from frame manufacturers.

Thing is relatively easy to do. Buying frames and components, Wind tunnel, specialist, protocol, test, publishing results. Financing this is easy as well : would you pay , lets say 50 USD/ € / GBP to KNOW. REALLY KNOW ? I would, and few thousand people around the world too :) Enough money to do that ! Why it's not gonna happened even that way ? : legal issues ;) (names given as an example only) : Trek, Specialized, Giant and others will SUE immediately idea ( to not allow for even step in tunnel ) and legally make it impossible to execute. Plenty of possibilities here for them ... They are eager to sue small bikeshop&caffeteria, and they won't stop such potentially dangerous idea ? ;)

So, I do appreciate effort to make frames (and other components) better and better, but I do not "buy" everything what they want to "sell" me :) . Fair enough ?

Stormur, this is not the place. Please leave. Go shit on the "is aero real" thread.

And just for clarification, since your comprehension seems to be challenged, the goal of this thread is not just to discuss aero but anything that provides a speed advantage.

Read please again my post, and again, and again. So long as you'll understand plain text. I assume it will take a loong time , so you won't troll for a while. Comments "ad personam" ... are reserved for semi-intelligent & frustrated only, isn't it ?

I have a lot of data from testing, but I won't share. In fact most people won't as it simply gives competitors an advantage without spending the time and money testing.
