I use SPD-SL with Pedaldabs (by Bikedabs). Similar to the Flypedals, but cheaper ($18 at my LBS) and doesn't require a set of cleats for use like the Flypedals.

Keywin pedals have a large platform and I believe they would work fine with sneakers. Honestly I did that only for very short "garage" rides and they are probably better than the Look Keo's they replaced (never bothered comparing the "performance" on this situation)

I did a 40mi road race in flip flops on old Looks for the same reason. Hung with the breakaway till the final sprint and earned the nickname Slippah Guy that I still hear around the island.
