Hey,

I found a damaged 2013 Cervelo R3 frame for next to nothing. The problem is that it's got some damages from a lighter crash and I can't tell how severe they are.
Owner says that the front brake caliper has hit the downtube scratching some paint off and also some off the fork where you mount the calipers. There's also a bolt missing form the RD hanger.

Would you consider riding this frame? Can it be repaired? How much is it worth in it's current state?

To diagnose potential carbon fiber damage over the phone is like a doctor trying to diagnose a patient by a fax.

If it was me, I would take it to someone locally that specializes in carbon fiber repair and have them look at it. That way you would know what is going on and could put your mind to ease. From the pictures, it just looks like paint damage. If you are thinking of getting the frame repainted anyways, send it to a carbon frame repair company that can look it over and do the repaint for you at the same time.

Alright, thanks for the input. Seems like a gamble to me as there's a bidding contest for it now.

Looks like damage from carelessness, but none of the damage looks structural or deep enough to be concerned (e.g no obvious cracks or shreaded carbon). As with any used frame purchase I would want to see more and better pics of damage before purchasing.

The fork concerns me as well as the DT. Mainly the chip in the back of the fork leg. You don't want to risk any stress risers on a fork leg. The frame if damaged is easily repairable. The fork is also but most repair places don't mess with forks.

I'm wondering if that's even a real Cervelo

I would not buy this one. Even for the $200 it is selling for.

Too much questionable damage to make it worth doing a build on. If he were giving it away, I might go for it. Maybe.
