No way are the 4000s (1 or 2) more durable. I'd accept that they're on past at a stretch as nothing blows a sidewall like a Conti.

I've had 2 pairs of Pro4 Service Course and had numerous flats. Had to throw them away because of enormous cuts and 2 big holes in the sidewalls. After complaining to Michelin they gave me a pair of Pro4 Endurance (excellent service if you ask me!). The Endurance is way more durable and didn't give me a single flat tire, but has more rolling resistance, perfect for training.

With 4000s and 4000sII I've never had broken tires and a very few flats. I use them for crits, racing and sometimes training, sometimes on gravel roads.

Save some money and get Rubino Pros 25c. I've had 1 flat over 2000km.
