Well if they had managed to ship their power meter, this would have bought them some time where they'd be the only cosmetic-matching power meter on the market. But if the rumors are true about the 9100 power meter crank delivery dates being months out, they'll have squandered most of their advantage. Stages is already taking preorders, and I'm sure Quarq is already working on a black DFour with 9100 chainring compatibility.

Thanks for the info on the DA9000 / 9100 power meter compatibility.

Given the expected shipping delays and the uncertainty on whether it's a straight swap of the cranksets I might look at other options.

Yeah I would like firm answers on these questions as well. I would imagine the answer to your first question is that it does matter.

How does it matter? There are how many different chainrings on the market? Do you think every single one of them lines up the same on a given set of crank arms? As long as the inner and outer rings are phased correctly why would it matter where the crank arms are?

I got my LBS to check current release date for DA9100 power meter y'day and it's scheduled early April for UK. Online UK retailers are also showing early April and taking pre-orders.

Responses in this thread have suggested there's delays and it'll be July at earliest, where is this info coming from ?

I'm not sure - but I looked up the 9170 lever/brake combos the other day and the UK distributor was still showing april availability too, where people on here were talking about delays.
