I'm 90% sure that bikes with the mechanical 9100 will begin to ship in October (Trek / Cannondale / Giant). The reason for the absence in the tour / vuelta / olympics is that the Di2 will be released early 2017 and probably there is simply no production model available at this point at all.

During the vuelta we might see the mechanical 9100 on some of the old school riders' bike.

I think we'll learn more about 9150 during the coming Eurobike.

Would be cool to see more pictures of the Dura Ace 9100, I'm still not sure about the grey to black gradient and the gains over the 9000 mechnical version. Not much difference in weight ...

Even Dura Ace 9000 version was released similar to the previous version, but more beautiful!

How do new Shimano releases work? I'm not familiar with this market. I'm about to spring for a DA 9000 groupset, and am curious if 9100 won't ship until most inventory of the 9000 is gone, or is there likely to be leftover inventory of 9000 that will be blown out at lower prices?

In other words, should I buy now, or wait for lower prices? Or will 9000 actually go up in price due to supply/demand?

From merlin, pbk and other online stores the price of the 9000 is already super cheap (well.. relatively) and I have serious doubt that it will get cheaper. Also I'm sure that there will be remaining stock available for years. You can still buy DA 7900 online: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/e ... prod136547

Thanks...I had a feeling that 9000 is about as low as it's going to get..

the whole groupset is up on madison in the u,k. prices are quite steep though for the hydro sti's. £1000 for the shifter and caliper set. rotors look funky too wwith the huge cooling fins filling the rotor.

I could not find hubs though. Maybe they are not up yet or maybe there wont be any.

Due January here.

I can confirm this.
Mechanical should be available september.
DI2 will only be released early 2017.

I'd love to upgrade my cyclocross bike with the 9100 front derailer.

Nope. Other way around according to Shimano's compatibility chart.

Any new Shimano released in the UK is gonna get crazy expensive. Probably will raise the price for non EU people past pre Brexit prices too.
