That is a pretty sick weight.

How does the "the third lightest production frame of all time" come in as "heavy" :?:

My Fuji SL 1.1 frameset came in lighter by over 100g than either of my Addicts (2008 HMX R2, and 2011 HMX R1)

Because actual weight of a 54 size frame, weighed with the things that, you know, make the frame functional (cable guides, hanger), make the frame the same weight as a number of existing frames, including the Neil Pryde Bura SL (the old model, not their new one coming out this year)...

It's a light frame, definitely. It's a light frame at a good pricepoint.

Lightest? Nah.
Lighter than others? Compared to frames from over 5 years ago, sure.
Lighter compared to other current "light" frames on the market? Unfortunately no, it matches them, it does not beat them outright.

It's a great deal pricewise, however. If there's a price-to-weight ratio, this would be near the top.

Just curious...
How many framesets (excluding open mold) come out at a better price to weight ratio then 740g+300g for $1,900 usd?

I can get a "pro-" deal on a Cannondale EVO Hi-Mod (2016) frameset for well under that, delivered w/ tax included.

The FUJI SL is pretty awesome for what it is, it's a highly underrated brand and their frames are known to ride very well. If it fits, and it appeals, it's definitely worth a buyer's consideration.

Fuji's marketing-identity is not strong at. Even the website looks dated.
Otherwise their products are among the best in terms of value/money.

I really don't think it's fair to compare a "pro deal" to retail.
I got a pro deal on my Fuji SL too and paid a LOT less than retail, but my team would not want me sharing that info publicly. :)
Comparing retail prices is fair, and a Cannondale Evo Himod retail is a lot more than a Fuji SL.

I can't help but notice the frame which is two sizes too small. Maybe the idea here is to ride a smaller frame to save weight? But surely there will be compromises such as handling and wheel/shoe overlap.
