Hey folks.

I want to get white bar tape for my new build. Light blue frame, white saddle, white bar tape. Love that scheme.

I know people love Fizik Microtex bartape, and I bought a few rolls.

Problem is, the perforated look does not play too nice with the modern frame and the deep wheels.

Fizik does not make a bar tape without holes.

So, I'm looking for a high quality, long lasting white bar tape with a modern look.

Any ideas?

I read everywhere that it's impossible to clean white lizard skin tape, once dirty :/

Have you considered a leather bartape? Something like a Brooks or a custom Busyman design? I would recommended RavX Fibertape but it has perforations as well.

Edit - Selle Italia leather smoo tape might also be an option

Arundel white cork is good, their other tapes come in white as well, but I like the feel of cork.

This is not weight weenie stuff, at nearly 80 grams.

It is luxurious. And washable. It can be pulled VERY tightly without risk of tearing. It's reasonably priced. I run white on my CX bike. It lasted all season, and is holding up well as the winter continues. It's rubbery, not "clothy".

This replaces my Fizik tape. Actually, I wrapped it OVER my Fizik tape, and have been running it that way.

I just built up a sub-15 lb road bike. I didn't compromise on the tape for weight-sake... I used this Synapse tape (in blue).

Supacaz is great stuff. Wraps smooth and stays clean.

Bike Ribbon Professional is durable and stays pretty clean as it is not very porous and doesn't seem to soak up dirt and grime. When it does start looking a little tired it does cleans up nicely compared to other tape that just stays dirty. I have it on all my bikes in white.

This is true. It is plush, tacky and comfortable but impossible to keep clean. I brush it with green solution to get it "clean" but it still looks dingy and is certainly no longer white. I don't care enough to replace it just yet, but here I am searching the forum for durable white bar tape :)

The silicon backed tape by Pro is awesome, washes bright white and lasts ages.

How does the Zipp Service Course CX in white last? It's my go to tape in black.

Looks great at first application but doesn't keep its colour.

I gave up on the tacky fizik tape because it got dingy very fast. Im using arundel cork now and am surprised how long it is lasting. I just have always liked cork too. Lizardskins is the same as tacky fizik...so dont bother. Non tacky fizik tape was also good but nothing feels as good as cork.

As mentioned above i might look at the Pro silicon stuff too but at this time cork is cheap and holds up well enough
