Bump!
Any other opinions out there... Especially on the Wilier?
Or any other Italians worth considering? As much as I love the c60 I want to move away from more traditional geometries.
Thanks
Bianchi Oltre XR2 vs Wilier Cento1SR - opinions needed!

Hi there...
regards weight - I have the 53cm Oltre XR which is a tad heavier than the XR2 , Super Record EPS V1 , ITM Pathom bars & stem( not that light ), Birzman carbon cages, Speedplay Ti , Zipp 404 tubbies with Stelvio 22mm( not light weight by any chance ) Garmin outfront = total weight 6.6kg
your build with mechanical SR & Boras - for sure could get you close to 6.4kg
ride and handling - compared to my two Madones - totally awesome - use the EVO as a commuter
enjoy the ride

If you're mostly concerned with weight what about the Specialissima instead of the Oltre?
Although I've long been a fan of Wilier I think they've lost their way a little with their current top end range. The handling is a little livelier than the Evo and the BB is a bit stiffer but I don't think you'd notice any other improvements, and certainly neither the SR or the Air could be described as lightweight, unfortunately On the flip side Bianchi seem to be at a high point right now.
(And if the normal S5 is too common I know a place where the MTN TdF replica paint scheme is in stock - shipping to Oz would probably be expensive tho )

You've hit the nail on the head there around why I'm not really interested in Wilier. Just to me at feels as the marque doesn't carry the same level of prestige it once did. I don't know whether I'm being a snob but I have been turned off the brand as a result.
Re. The Specialissima price is the major factor in why I am not interested in it. It is just too much and if I was going into those realms ($$$$ wise) id probably look at other brands. One concern I have is the XR2 is relatively old frame now and I'm wary that I may get it only to have a new model replacing the XR2 released in less than 6 months time.
I'm starting to look at Cipollini as an alternative to XR2. Namely the B0ND but again it's expensive and old frame design which too could be replaced soon. I want a new bike only I'm very indecisive. Haha
First world problems!

Cipolini Bond is practically a 2014 model and will not be replaced soon. Their RB1K and RB0.8K are a few years older than the BOND and still in production.
