Hi,
I have the Dura ace 9000 brakes fitted with the C4 Blocks. Does anyone know if other pads fit as many adverts say fit dura ace, but I think they are referring to older models, as they say fit all shimano? Clearly there must be a difference as Shimano specify the C4, not the C3 or other.
Also, are Shimano C4 Carbon pads harder or softer than the C4 Ally pads??? C4 Ally pads seem quite harsh on my ally rims, but also wear very fast too.
thx

There is no difference in fit. Any Shimano compatible brake pad fits all Shimano carriers.
The difference between C3 and C4 is in the compound, not the shape.

I concur. Last week I installed a set of those pads, and the difference is a noticeable improvement over stock DA pads on aluminum hoops.
