Makes you wonder, once again, on how real research - or lack of it - is related to a product's marketing.

Hmm, the Cobble Gobble-R with its elastomer-stuffed hinge doesn't actually seem to work at all - really hard to justify the looks.

From the the difference between the two graphs you can tell that the "elbow" part at the top doesn't move at all, and that the little flex the part provides only comes from the tube bending.

Interesting regarding the Specialized. I assumed for the sacrifice of such an ugly post it would do a pretty good job.

Not surprised with the Canyon / Ergon split one being most effective, mine was great.

Wonder what this says about the "ZERZT" rubber plugs added to some Speci frames.

I read that this morning. Wouldn't mind trying out split Canyon post.
The weight of the reviewed posts though... I wonder how a proper WW one would compare.

Canyon VCLS & Ritchey WCS Carbon Link FlexLogic for me. Do the work and look great as well.

Did you read the test & see the weight of the Ritchey post? Add Ti bolts for another 10g less...

Yes, as I said, I read it this morning.
Without going back to check, I think it was 160g. My post is 93g.

Sadly, they don't include the greatest seatpost of all time:

Specialized with Zertz. The good one, with a giant opening. You can run it without the Zertz.

One piece design that has the benefits of the Canyon/Ergon, along with excellent damping.

The suckiest thing about my decision to get a Madone 7.9 is that I won't be able to use this seatpost any more.

Sadly, these posts aren't made any more. Last ones made were about 10 years ago.

Most likely a gimmick. Be interesting to see some data on it.

Same with the Cobble Gobble-R post. Have you seen any pro riding it for example P-R?
