So, my frame is an Di2 ready frame. I am going Etap and want to cover these small holes with some sort of plastic "fillings" which won't rattle out when riding.

Any suggestions? I am riding the 2016 Canyon Ultimate SLX. Thanks

I managed to use some frame protection tape when I swapped out my External Di2 battery for an internal one. Fortunately my frame is gloss black so the tape match was pretty easy. Some people may suggest silicone..

looking into Sugru.

It is easily removable rubber when no longer needed, but solid.

on my giant with di2 they put a tiny black screw through the hole in the extra grommet designed for shift cables. taping the inside might work too. not the most elegant but works.

Try some 3M 1080 film. This is the stuff that cars are wrapped in to change their colour without repainting. Goes on very smoothly, lasts well, and if the colour is matched to the frame it is very hard to see the edges.

Do you have a link?

Tape on the in- or outside is a no-go!

... Just with a flat top with no wire-holes. Can these be found?

if you mean the Di2 grommet I don't think it's what he's looking for since it won't cover the hole, I would say that it would emphasize the hole. :smartass:

My Argon actually came with rubber stoppers to fill the holes should I go with Di2. I think it is set up for the wires to enter through the front brake port.

I would think more manufacturers would start doing this in the future.

Or maybe just a small bit of electrical finishing tape that matches. This is weight weenies right? Cut it so it looks decent and it will look just like those plugs at a fraction of the weight.

If you hunt around in the stationary shops/sections, there is a black version of BlueTac.

It will fit your requirements. Super easy to use, completely clean when removed and doesn't affect paint

I use the much older, original light blue version (that has been around for over 2 decades) for attaching my cadence magnet behind the crankarm.
