CAAD 10 Lower Headset Bearing
Moderator: robbosmans
Hey guys,
Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the latest CAAD 10 lower headset bearing, or where they are available to buy separately (UK)? Every company I've contacted doesn't know, and Cannondale will only sell me a whole headset, expander and all . The current bearing has no markings, and my Vernier is broken
Thanks!

Thanks for your replies,
I have had contact with a bearing company who were unable to give me a 100% answer but were quite sure that this bearing would fit:

My concern is that the inner chamfer does not look "deep" enough if that makes sense?
What do you think?
I've searched google etc and there doesn't seem to be an answer to this question anywhere so maybe we could break some ground.

There are really only 2 common styles, which then come in different sizes. When it's 45x45 deg it is "Campy" or "Italian" style which Cannondale has used since they first used threadless headsets. Looks correct to me.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
One.
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

Perfect, thanks! Great resource for Cannondale. Shame they do not list the dimensions...

For OP and others, when you see "IS" in the part # it stands for "Italian Standard" which really means "Campy standard" except not everyone wants to acknowledge the fact.
Campy introduced it around 2000 I'd guess, and back in the day Cannondale sold lots of Campy equipped road bikes. They don't do that anymore, but as a ghostly reminder kept the standard for their headsets.
