For that kind of money I would consider seriously the Ax Lightness frameset.

How much was BURAsl in EU when you looked at it? Curious.
Hey Birdie, it was 3500 Euro a couple of years ago.

3500 Euro is pretty expensive... Especially back when the Euro was a lot stronger.
$2,800 USD that I was quoted for the new BURAsl is a lot more palatable.

NP decide to disappear for a while from US market, but you can write directly to them, and it's very possible they will sell you frame , and at quiet competitive price.

Ok, so just having built up a 2-year-old BURA SL, I see the following changes:
internal cable routing
changed shape of the gussets (which are the one engineering feature I'm not bought into)
fork blades have a curve to them
They showed a hidden seat clamp at the BURA SL launch years ago, but never did deliver it (until now it seems)
Finally switched to a curved front-derailleur mount (the flat mount posed a problem for chain catcher mounting)
Also, I appreciate that mine has a BB30 bottom bracket, but I learned that not all "BB30 compatible cranksets" will fit all BB30 bikes. Specialized in particular is *very* finicky about spacing, and I finally broke down and paid LBS to come up with the magic combination of oddball spacers to make it work.
Now that I have 200 miles on the bike, my $0.02: I switched from a Scott Addict R4. The BURA is lighter and unexpectedly a lot stiffer than the Addict, particularly in the front-end. Sprinters rejoice.

Yup, when I emailed Orca Fung at NP, they were ready to take my credit card number lol. They were going to sell it to me for $2,800. That price includes shipping to Chicago+fees+tax... etc. This was back in January 2016.

Have to LOL at the PF86 comments regarding durability/stiffness .
As I know from 2017 all NP will have BB86. I had that shell in BMC- it creaked ... a little. On Alu sleeved Rotor BB. But I wouldn't blame standard or Rotor , but BMC build accuracy . With delrin DA BB was silent. Totally.
