New (Spring 2016) NeilPryde BURAsl, Facebook teaser
Moderator: robbosmans
Available Spring 2016 (from their own comment on their FB page)
I stumble upon this on their page, thought I share it in case you guys haven't seen it yet. I have heard nothing about this new bike other than the FB photos, so if anyone has any information, please do share
From what I can gather just looking at the photos, here are the new features:
(updated 1/26/2016)
1. internal derailleur cable routing
2. hidden seatpost clamp, wedge style
3. headtube Exoskeleton feature remains
4. seat tube Exoskeleton feature remains
5. PF86 (prior generation is PF30)
6. UCI sticker on the downtube maybe?
7. ... anything else?

Their previous generation of BURAsl are well documented on this forum. Their weight, their performance are highly rated.
Their previous generation is also a unique looking bike. You won't find an open mold that looks remotely like the previous BURAsl. Although some have attempted to compare them to open mold frames, but failed to do so: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=100551&hilit=bura+sl+open+mold&start=45

Yep, definitely not a Chinese catalogue bike, and unlikely to be mistaken for one by anyone that's seen them in the flesh. Several unique and distinctive little design touches.

The new frame looks good. A new rear end that is stiffer yet more compliant and a new fork that is more compliant, the integrated seat collar will allow the seatpost to flex more as well for added comfort. The original Bura is the most exciting bike i've ridden (i've ridden a lot of top-tier frames), great value for money. its very stiff, predictable and obviously light. The new frame is the same weight. it also has BB86 not the PF30 like the last model.
i'm looking forward to seeing a 2016 in the flesh, it's definitely a revision of the original but i have no doubt its one of the best on the market.
Hi @Jhomewood, do you have a source of the information mentioned?

i found this and read up a bit from the asian trade shows they had a presence at. 2016 Bura looks full-boner it has to be said!
Hopefully they come back to North America fully soon.
PF86 is slightly disappointing for me. It limits the choices on some ultra light weight cranksets on the market, since they all come in BB30.
That being said, if you swear by Shimano cranks, this is great news since no more adapter is needed.
At the end of the day, as long as this isn't BBright or BB30a, I'm good with it.

Just use BB4130 bearings to use, say, a Clavicula SE or Rotor 3D+ crankset. To me this frameset looks amazing in every way!

The claimed weight of the new frame is 710g. Same as the previous generation claimed weight. The previous generation actual frame weight including hanger&hardware reported on this forum is around 760g~780g... ish.
BB86 gives many customers a more reliable product (Shimano crank w/out adapters) a shame for the weight weenie, but it may also make a stiffer frame.
My 2013 Bura SL was 760g in a large with a 310g fork, it rides very well, its a reliable build at 6.8kg.
