Weighed mine up the other day all up (except BB30 bearings), and total was 514g

This was both arms @ 172.5mm, Praxis compact rings Qman alloy spider and steel chainring bolts from Shimano.

@ MichaelB

514g, is that including spacers, wavy washers... etc?

My projected new weight is now 538g with the 44g carbon spider. That's 24g heavier than your crankset...... :(

Qman's alloy spider is about 45g... correct?

MichaelB's spider is 41g. My first one was 38g and I need to investigate why the newer ones are a little heavier.
I would suggest trying Aluminum chainring bolts - they work well, are relatively inexpensive, and save a few more grams. Give them a try! I'm using the Aerozine ones. I think they were 8 or 9 grams for the set.

If I remember correctly my 172.5 arms, with carbon 130 spider and Praxis 53/39 rings weighed in 537g...

Just weighed the crank and with the compression ring and DS spacer the above set up was 545 grams..pretty impressive I must say.

I am not that strong of a rider. I don't use my 50/11 combo often so I thought I give this a try. Is only a 4% difference anyways.

No hills where you live? Seems odd to me to ditch the 50 but keep the 36 :noidea:

agree... LOL

There really isn't much of climbing around here in the Chicago area.

@ Birdman

I think the only bit missing are some of the flat protective washers by the bearings. Will use Qmans spider weight as the calibration for my scales

Will double check numbers, but I've also stripped the cranks back to carbon, so no factory paint.

Hopefully will get cranks on in a few weeks when it gets less busy !!!

cooool~ how does it look?

I actually like the look of my crank, very stealthy, but I'm always up for a project.

Click on my Cannondale below to see an example of stripped cranks. Mine have a gloss finish.

I didn't take mine that far back, so they are a Matt black look ( same as bike frame) and coated in a few light coats of satin poly spray

Finally installed last night and 1st ride this morning.

The Force22 cranks that came off weighed in at 690g, so the overall saving was 176g and a neater look.

Happy all round. Need to trim the FD a little more, but all good !!!
