For a reference on Zipp 303 Firecrest, I am at 24.7mm with 23mm tires. I couldn't fit the 25mm tires in my Look 695 frame with Campy Record brakes. The tires were too tall and hit the front brake arm. They measured out to 26.9. I think the picture does a good job of showing the 25mm tire gets very tall on a wide rim.
LOL,
Most of this is useless.
Mounted measures are pretty pointless.
Take the measures between the beads as they lay flat...

I have 23mm GP4000SII's mounted on 2012 Flo 60's (aluminum rim w/ carbon fairing).
Internal rim width: 19.4mm
Measured 23 GP tire width on rim @100psi: 26.7mm
Initial measurement with dial calipers and double checked with a micrometer. For what it's worth, the measured tire has a bit over 3,000 miles on it.

Many other Conti tires, e.g. 4Seasons, GP TT, GP Force run true to size though!
Great info, thanks. Got to try the 28s then.
Challenge Almanzos are a bit tight to the Chainstays at 31.6mm, 30 straight could be the ticket.
Could anyone compare Challenge PRs to GP4000 28s? I am a bit partial to skinwalls. Thanks.
