Yesterday one of our local shops received the NK1K and I wanted to post some photos of the actual frame and color.

I have been a fan of Cipollini frames for some time, especially the RB1K and seeing countless photos of the NK1K online I was a bit unsure of the design and the color. Online it appears to be a bright orange but in person its not that at all. It's actually a more vibrant red a bit of orange if that makes sense :)

The details in the frame design is hard to capture in photos as there are a number of subtle lines and angles that make it stand out amongst the many aero frames out in the market currently.

As this is the only frame the shop received there was no test bike to ride, but it does make me think twice about the RB1K I'm thinking of getting.

What are your thoughts?

Great looking frame and color scheme. If you have the option, go for it.
Too bad, they don't offer Yellow Fluo option for this model, like that:

It's a good looking bike and I'd certainly take it over the RB1K.

Lovely looking frame, and a nice paint finish with about 10 tons of clear coat to boot ! :-)

All Cipollinis look amazing up close. High quality handmade stuff. Only Time frames are on par IMO.

So weight weenies, and no weights posted?

Looks well crafted, hence the price tag I assume.

Nice frame, wish I had the thick wallet to accomodate purchasing this frame.. Looking at that steerer column, looks like the same production material that Time uses on their RTM forks?

Gorgeous!

IMO, the best looking Cipollini frame.

Too bad Cipollini has a bad customer service reputation.

This 'reputation' is just a couple of incidents in reality...

Would you call this scarlet in colour?

I like to think that it is because the colour scarlet is known to be associated with Immortality and Sin which I think suits Cipos personality. Its also associated with the blood of chirst and we all know Cipo is basically a god amongst men.

On picture #2 and 3 I think the mould looks a bit clumsy. For a high end bike.

Other than that, cool frame!

Actually it is more like a scarlet colour. It's a color that's hard to photograph based on what I saw on the net. Some camera's make it look more orange which it isn't.

I like your theory though. Sounds about right :)

It's a frame that looks better in person. My pictures prob don't do it justice.

Possibly. Definitely direct mount brakes are meant to be on this.

I agree on the cabling, top tube entry would look cleaner.
