But than I have to buy a whole new crankset.
Is there no external power meter that I can put on it?
Is it true that Inpower just measure the left side? Is this a negative point or not?

You can buy a separate LH inpower crank arm.
Down sides to single sided power are well documented elsewhere (re stages etc).
Other alternative is P2M but this replaces your current spider.

You could also just use Garmin or PowerTap pedals and call it a day.
Buy this spider separately:Timmy269 wrote:I have a Rotor 3d+ double (mas spider).
I wonder if there is a way to put a power meter on it?

P2M x100000.
They are so fricken cheap now a days it is BY FAR the best value on the market.

P2M reports a virtual left-right balance based on where in the pedal stroke the power is measured. If you only push on the downstroke with each leg then it will be accurate. If you have a completely round pedal stroke it won't tell you anything about left-right balance.

Is there a powermeters that reports always the left and right balance?

Garmin Vector, Pioneer, quite a few actually. Stages are supposed to be releasing a left/right power meter this year as well.
I'm a little confused, this P2M comes with the crankset also ? I see that a P2M for Rotor 3D+ costs around 1000 EUR and a Rotor 3D+ InPower costs 900 EUR...
I am missing something here ?

Before buying anything, I suggest you read up on things on DC Rainmakers blog. There you will find anything worth knowing about the different types of powermeters.

P2M with the 3D+ crankset is ~1000 EUR. There's a version that is just the spider for ~700 EUR. P2M is running their free chainrings sale again today. Might be worth buying the full crankset plus chainrings, replace the P2M spider with a standard spider, then resell the crankset.

As other's have said, but i'm not sure you have grasped what they meant, but:
Inpower measures torque on the LH crank only, and ASSUMES that you are putting out the same effort with the RH leg, so doubles its reading.
It doesn't take into account any imbalance. Stages etc make the same assumptions. At various intensities your split could alter quite dramatically, and thus if its doubling it, your true power could be fairly different from what you believe it to be. Makes setting training zones a bit of a 'mare.
Power2Max measures the torque in the spider, so its what is actually going into the drivetrain. It gives you a L/R split reading if you want, which is calculated using pulses through the measured reading.
There are very few that actually measure a true L/R split (pedal systems being one), I don't think even SRM is a true representation.
At the end of the day, you cant realistically alter any imbalance, but you do want consistent and reliable readings.
