Hi,

Looking into updating my pedals (keo carbon / Cromo axle) into something newer.
looking around, seems like both the new ultegra carbons (PD 6800) as well as the keo 2 blade (or max blade) can fit the budget...

So, any advantage of the ultegra's over the keos (riding Look all my life... but read quite a bit re shimano reliability) ?

(it goes on a Look 595 with campagnolo group... so really need a good reason to throw shimano on it  )

thanks
Oren

Shimano pedals are great but if you are happy with Look dont change a thing.

On the pedals, Look is less than 10 gram lighter. On the cleats, Shimano is better to walk.

Is there something about the Looks you don't like? I ride Shimano (on Campagnolo bike) and really like the cleats when walking.

Look is lighter, Shimano is durable, if you don't like change cleats often, get Shimano.

Thanks everyone.

Nothing i do not like regarding the Look's... wandered if there is much more to the shimano's.

from the replies, they are close. as i like & ride Look... my money will go there :)

(nothing against shimano though, just like the "little guys")

Happy customer here on Shimano pedals. I did something a little unorthodox for someone on a high end road bike--XTR M9000 pedals(spd type). They look great , weigh a few grams less and are practical.

There is another complete thread on the Keo Blade 2.

I don't want to be Mr Negativity, so I will just refer you to that.

Sometimes a few extra grams is worth it for problem-free operation.
