If you change the chain rings from say standard to semi-compact does the frpmt derailleur need any adjustments? Parenthetically, I'm now a huge fan of Dura Ace. I did not notice any change in brake performance but shifting is far superior and noticeably so. Also looks a little nicer. The weight change of course does not impact the ride.

Depending on setup you may have to move the front derailleur lower when going to a smaller diameter chainring with less teeth. The small difference from 53-52 may not need adjustments but check the FD height after the chainring install to be sure.
