Looking for some help - recently purchased the new Enve 2.2 Ses rims which are rather wide 27mm wide to be precise.

The maximum thickness my THM fibula brakes can take with brake pads are 26mm.

Wondering if you guys know of any brake pads produced that are thinner?

Thank you

you should always stick with the brakepad that your wheel manufacturer tells you to, it might even void your warranty otherwise. That being said, swissstop does make a model for limited space

I clamp the pad I'd like to trim on a bench vise, and use a utility knife to cut along the top edge of the vise. An easy 3-minute job, I can trim as little as 0.5mm this way.

I suggest to use cardboard to fill the grooves of brake pads, otherwise there will be some distortion around the grooves.

Bumping this to the top... I'm in the same predicament.

I got a set of SES 4.5 wheels and the front being 27mm is too wide for my Gen 1 (Upgraded) EE brakes.. I was going to take the WW plunge and get a set of THM brakes to match muh cranks, but they can only fit 26mm wide... I guess I'm going to back to the Super Record 11 single pivot boat anchors for the interim. Logic says just get the updated EE brakes that can fit 28mm max.

These are supposed to be lower profile but they don't specify how much more:

Upgrade to disc brakes.

Oh wait, did I say that?

The SwissStop ones are approved by nearly all rim manufacturers (the big ones, anyway), and as long as you keep them clean of debris they do a good job and don't damage rims from the big rim manufacturers (Enve, FFWD, HED, Zipp, etc.). No assurances of any kind for anonymous or imported rims.
