Any further information on release and pricing on the new C-series?

Not the best looking Cervelo that's for sure. I guess there won't be a C series added to my R and S stable

Seat stays and fork make it look pretty awful, hard to see why you would buy this over the likes of a Synapse.

Plus the name... C5

Judging from the pricing and what it aims to be I can't help think a Seven Evergreen does it better.

I like that it's thru axle front and rear and that it has eyelets for fenders. I only wish it could take a bigger tire.

I always find these high end gravel bikes a weird market. Every single non-racer I know with a $10,000+ bike does not like taking their bike off road. They are usually VERY protective about their bike, and treat it like a baby. Racers don't want to add a "gravel bike" to the stable. I just don't see this selling all that well.

I agree with Ghost234 about "gravel bike" market weirdness, but, unless I already didn't own a nice CX disc bike, this would certainly be on top of my list for an "offroad" road bike. It isn't outright "beautiful", but somehow looks badass in its own way, and the color scheme complements the "gravel" theme nicely.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

Not so sure about that. A high end bike shop around here is selling a lot of Seven Evergreens and they are seeing all kinds of riding. I'm building a firefly to a gravel bike spec and intend to use it during bad weather , snow and off-road. The C-59 will continue to be the staple bike for on-road and good weather.

One problem with the Cervelo is its carbon. To me a gravel bike should be Ti. The material is more suited to the abuse.

Seems that way, make sense for their target audience I guess. The claimed weight is awesome though. What is Cervelo's track record on matching actual weight with claimed weight?
